Sohoor Time

Ramadan Kareem everyone


this is a late Ramadan greeting... back in the old days (pre alarm clocks era), there used to be someone taking the duty of "musaharati" where he was responsible for walking thought neighborhoods and awaken people around an hour before dawn so they would be able to have time for the sohoor meal.

During fasting, one is not allowed to eat nor drink from sun dawn til sun set ... this is why it is important to finish up the to suhoor meal shortly before drawn .. one can consider it a very early breakfast
