Description

open area in the middle of a traditional house. I took this when I went sight seeing on the historical neighborhood of "Bastakeyah" in Dubai. Back in old days, houses did not have front nor back yards. However, the house itself surrounded an open area when a tree or more is grown in the middle of that open space.
